Serving over 36,000 clients in 17 districts of the Mid-Western and Central regions of Uganda, ENCOT Microfinance Limited (ENCOT) is a fast-growing, innovative microfinance institution with a social impact mission. Operating a network of 10 branches in locations such as Hoima, Masindi, Kigumba, Kagadi, Nakasongola, Kawempe, Luweero, Bweyale, Katikara, and Karuguuza, ENCOT’s mission is to provide microfinance services to low-income smallholder farmer communities, particularly women, helping them create their own paths out of poverty through job creation. ENCOT is urgently seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and result-oriented professionals to fill the following position:
Position: Credit Officer
Purpose:
The Credit Officer is responsible for directly selling loans and credit services offered by ENCOT to customers, ensuring 100% recovery of the assigned loan portfolio (both current and past-due), and maintaining customer satisfaction in accordance with ENCOT’s strategic objectives and credit policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client mobilization and training.
- Loan processing.
- Loan recoveries.
- Customer care.
- Loan utilization follow-up.
- Delinquency management.
- Reporting as required.
- Contributing to general organizational development as a key staff member.
- Performing any other duties competently and professionally.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Social Work, Education, Business Studies, or a related field.
- No prior experience required.
- Must be able to ride a motorcycle.
- Age 27 years or below.

- Fluency in English and some local languages.
