Job Details:
Who We Are: Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an INGO promoting adult education and community development among refugees since 1997. As an operational partner to UNHCR and OPM, and a 2020-2023 implementing partner to WFP, FRC Uganda is seeking suitably qualified Ugandans to fill this position.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Technical Support to Project Implementation on MEAL Activities:
- Support M&E activities across different project sites, monitor data quality, track activity progress, and contribute to staff capacity building.
- Monitor and provide feedback on the achievement of project targets.
- Build capacity of field staff in data capture tools, procedures, and reporting, including mobile data collection disaggregated by location, age, and sex/gender.
- Support project interventions such as baselines and end-line studies when necessary.
Data Management and Analysis:
- Track project performance and progress using the indicator tracking matrix.
- Facilitate data collection by guiding field teams on data flow processes.
- Identify and fill gaps in data collection and management systems at the field level.
- Conduct field visits to validate and verify data accuracy and quality.
- Assist in analyzing indicator results and provide feedback on project performance based on available data.
- Ensure proper filing of records at the field level, maintaining confidentiality and data security.
- Comply with FRC’s data integrity, protection, and security policies.
Communication and Reporting:
- Review and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, identifying potential bottlenecks in project implementation and recommending timely action.
- Participate in FRC project team meetings to review project performance and plan actions.
- Provide feedback to project beneficiaries on emerging field issues and support organizing field missions for donors and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, or Statistics.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, innovative, with good record-keeping, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
