Position Overview: Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI), the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution in Uganda, seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. The successful candidate will provide centralized and seamless management information and business intelligence services through efficient data interrogation tools, continuous performance improvement, and user training. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the role involves offering robust business insights for internal customer analytics and external market reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal colleagues to build scalable solutions for data analysis and business process improvement.
- Develop, test, and deploy management information and business intelligence solutions to address key business problems.
- Implement effective solutions in line with Pride’s approved scope-design-test-deploy methodology.
- Centralize management information on market performance to eliminate duplication of effort.
- Design predictive and forecasting models for scenario planning.
- Explore big data to understand customer behavior and develop information collection and analysis frameworks.
- Identify business opportunities and develop segmentation strategies to enhance customer retention and profitability.
- Create quality training documentation and conduct regular training courses on effective use of reporting and query tools.
Person Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, ICT humanities, or a relevant field.
- A Master’s Degree in Economics, Business Statistics, Microfinance, Banking and Finance, Business Computing, Economics, or a related field is an added advantage.
- At least 4 years of experience in a related role in a supervised financial institution at a supervisory level.
- Statistical background is an advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry and business awareness, project management, quality control, and the ability to train and develop others.
- Should not be more than 40 years of age.
