Position Overview: Pride Microfinance Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Officer – Group Banking and Relationship Officer – Micro to join our team. The Relationship Officers will be responsible for recruiting clients, assessing their creditworthiness by visiting homes and businesses, and managing loan processes.

Key Responsibilities for Relationship Officer – Group Banking:

  • Market the Group lending product.
  • Sensitize and train clients.
  • Prepare credit applications for credit committees as per policy.
  • Disburse loans according to policy.
  • Follow up and recover loans as per policy.
  • Ensure proper filing of all Group Lending documentation.

Key Responsibilities for Relationship Officer – Micro:

  • Recruit, nurture, and sustain new Micro relationships to achieve growth targets.
  • Manage active pipeline to meet personal growth objectives across product ranges and client segments.
  • Manage client portfolio to grow and retain existing business, optimizing the Bank’s revenue.
  • Negotiate and structure transactions to balance client value and Bank’s business interests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare high-quality credit proposals, ensuring timely turnaround.
  • Manage arrears vigilantly to maintain the loan portfolio’s NPA percentage within agreed parameters.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as Commerce, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Social Sciences, Education, Microfinance, Psychology, Procurement, Agriculture, Engineering, and others.
  • 2 Principal passes at A’ Level.
  • Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level.

Person Specifications:

  • Willingness to work in any part of the country where Pride operates.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and a self-starter.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Possess leadership skills.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and high degree of integrity.
  • Fluent in commonly used local languages in respective regions.
  • Not more than 40 years of age.
  • Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle.
