Job Details:
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) is a subsidiary of CCBA, and we are currently seeking to recruit a Raw Materials Controller based in Kampala. As a Raw Materials Controller, you will report directly to the Unit Manager Processing.
Key Purpose Statement:
The primary role of this position is to ensure all stock is received, issued, and accounted for with minimum variance, and to supervise the Raw Materials Stores.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are placed in their correct store locations.
- Correctly label materials according to prescribed standards.
- Ensure materials stored comply with the material master data.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual stock takes.
- Verify the return of materials to stock, ensuring they are safely protected and in their original condition.
- Ensure materials are delivered according to company specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections on new deliveries, ensuring they are received physically and on the system timely.
- Report and follow up on all quality non-conforming materials with relevant stakeholders.
- Stop and report any safety concerns related to raw material stores to prevent unsafe conditions as outlined in the Risk Assessments.
- Lead and supervise the stores team.
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Stores Management, Inventory, Logistics Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience:
- One year of supervisory experience in stores operations, preferably in an FMCG.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Basic materials handling knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Stores and inventory management skills
- Document management ability
- Ability to work in a team
- Planning, organizing, and controlling skills
- Attention to detail
- Customer orientation
