Key Responsibilities:
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Raise, receive, and review voucher interface files and Provision requests from the programme/cluster for data completeness and accuracy, providing feedback daily.
- Review and manage mobile money transactions for the programme/cluster, ensuring timely and accurate mobile reconciliations by the 10th of the following month.
Financial Planning & Budget Management:
- Complete and consolidate the programme/AP Budgets, upload into Horizon by August, and to SharePoint by December each financial year.
- Monitor budget and cash-flows, ensuring expenditures are within budget limits, and provide variance explanations for management decision-making by the 13th of each month.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate and review Sun systems-generated and other financial reports for the programme/cluster, share and discuss reports with cluster teams on the 11th of each month, and file final reports at the cluster by the 15th.
Risk Management:
- Lead internal and external audits in the cluster, ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations within 90 days.
- Update asset registers quarterly to monitor and manage programme/cluster assets per the WV Finance Manual.
- Conduct routine field visits to ensure value for money and that items reach the correct beneficiaries.
Capacity Building:
- Provide technical financial support and hands-on assistance to programme/cluster Assistant Accountants, Program staff, and partners within the cluster.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree with a major in Accounting/Finance/Auditing.
- Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
- Extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SUN Accounting, and Access.
