Candidate Profile:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum BSc or MSc degree in Geology.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a geologist, including operated development asset preparation (WSOR) and drilling wells, development headquarter studies, geological & structural interpretation, reservoir characterization, structural & geological modeling, uncertainty analysis, and well integration.
- Good knowledge and experience in well preparation activities (Well SOR) in development and/or exploration, experience in following up on drilling wells operations, log interpretation, petrophysical synthesis & modeling, and studies of overburden/Cap Rock monitoring is a plus.
- Demonstrated team spirit, solidarity, strong coaching & communication skills, commitment & efficiency, ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Activities: Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the availability of geologists and coordinate their allocation to support Geosciences & Reservoir development activities.
- Provide geological inputs into the well preparation workflow (Well SOR) alongside other disciplines.
- Provide geological support during drilling operations to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives, proposing ad-hoc trajectory updates when necessary.
- Prepare post-mortems of well results and integrate them into the 2G&R synthesis of the field to influence the drilling operation of subsequent wells.
- Identify, scope, and follow-up on geological-related studies carried out by OneTech in HQ for Tilenga (operated) and Kingfisher (non-operated).
- Assure the quality of geological information and data provided to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring sustainability of these geological data with the Geoinformation team.
- Ensure transparent & clear technical communication with JV partners and authorities.
- Build team’s individual and collective skills through specific trainings and coaching.
