Job Details:

Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the distribution and movement of products or services to customers. Responsibilities include establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, training sales representatives, analyzing sales statistics, and monitoring customer preferences to ensure repetitive sales and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
• Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
• Direct and coordinate activities involving the sales of manufactured products.
• Determine price schedules and discount rates.
• Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
• Oversee activities in sales and service accounting, recordkeeping, and receiving and shipping operations.
• Plan advertising services and secure information on equipment and customer specifications in consultation with department heads.
• Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures for business effectiveness.
• Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
• Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations for sales and service programs.
• Visit franchised dealers to stimulate interest in leasing programs.
• Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise on equipment purchases.
• Oversee regional and local sales managers and their staffs.
• Direct clerical staff to keep records of export correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections, and maintain current information on tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
• Direct foreign sales and service outlets for the company.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Administration, Commerce, or related fields.
• Postgraduate qualification or International Certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a busy organization.
