Job Title: Regional Manager
Job Summary: The Regional Manager is a senior management role responsible for overseeing FINCA activities within an assigned region. This includes managing people, business operations, internal controls, and portfolio quality, as well as planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management:
- Promote FINCA’s mission and ensure staff motivation and team spirit.
- Manage succession planning and identify high potential employees.
- Mentor Branch Managers on leadership, staff management, and business skills.
- Approve inter-branch staff relocations and initiate promotions or terminations based on performance.
- Identify and communicate training needs for regional staff.
- Participate in training and communicate key management decisions to staff.
Business Management:
- Ensure staff understand and communicate FINCA’s brand and customer service standards.
- Maintain office standards and meet customer expectations through regular interviews and meetings.
- Supervise regional growth strategy and sales activities to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure branches are staffed appropriately and staff are knowledgeable about FINCA products.
Internal Controls and Portfolio Quality:
- Review internal controls reports and ensure implementation of action plans.
- Escalate compliance issues and chair asset recovery committees.
- Promote a compliant work culture and conduct regular spot checks, including credit committee participation, customer visits, policy knowledge interviews, and cash counts.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed and resolved according to strategy deadlines.
Planning and Reporting:
- Provide quarterly performance reports to senior management.
- Develop regional growth strategies and staffing plans as part of the budgeting process.
- Review loan rejection reports and address structural issues with the Head of Banking Services.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Studies, Administration, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the financial/banking sector.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and core banking systems.
- Understanding of branch performance and profitability metrics.
