The International Rescue Committee is seeking Re

Facilitators to join the team in Kampala for the second wave of the Re

Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). This role involves supporting the implementation of the Wave 2 RCT intervention, business verification, and monitoring visits targeting over 4,000 eligible participants. Re

is a five-year urban livelihoods program designed to enhance economic self-reliance for urban refugees and vulnerable host community members in Kampala and Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client information sessions, onboarding, and monitoring.
  • Mobilize clients for weekly group sessions.
  • Facilitate weekly client group sessions.
  • Address RCT clients’ inquiries.
  • Monitor and verify businesses, and share reports.
  • Perform translation and transcription as required by the research team.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma, or final year undergraduate students in Social Sciences or Humanities.
  • Experience in community mobilization and facilitation; data collection experience is an added advantage.
  • Qualified urban refugees from all nationalities with a refugee ID are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with vulnerable communities.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing work demands.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a multicultural team.
  • Proficiency in Ms. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Applicants proficient in Swahili, French, Oromo, Somali, Amharic, Arabic are encouraged to apply.
  • All applicants should have a URA TIN.
  • Willingness to work in any of the following neighborhoods: Makindye, Nakawa, Kawempe, Rubaga, Kampala Central.
  • Adherence to organizational performance standards, code of conduct, and safeguarding policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality when collecting, storing, and sharing data.
  • Ensure client attendance at weekly group sessions, prepare debrief notes, and status activity reports.
  • Produce business monitoring reports.
  • Indicate the two divisions you prefer to work in on your application letter.
