Our client connects African filmmaking talent with global media buyers, curating the best filmmakers on the African continent and facilitating consistent and well-paid work for local and international creatives. They seek to fill the position of an Online Events Manager with a suitably qualified candidate.
The Job: The Online Events Manager will plan, organize, and execute online events regularly. This role, which may be part-time, focuses on creating engaging virtual experiences for the audience.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating online events, including webinars, conferences, and virtual gatherings.
- Managing event logistics, including scheduling, technology, and promotional efforts.
- Ensuring a smooth and interactive experience for participants.
- Evaluating the success of events and making improvements for future events.
- Collaborating with marketing and content teams to promote and support events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of proven experience as an Online Events Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully executing virtual events.

- Proficiency in virtual event platforms and streaming technologies, and familiarity with content management systems and online engagement tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple online events simultaneously.
