Mission/Core Purpose of the Job:
The Manager – Enterprise Risk will be responsible for maintaining long-term but adaptable risk management standards, frameworks, and solutions for the business in alignment with process owners. They will continuously review and challenge the frameworks for each area to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

Main Job Functions:

• Implement MTN Group fintech risk management framework.
• Implement MTN Group Fintech internal control framework.
• Foster a strong risk culture within the company.
• Support process owners to identify risks within business operations and implement adequate mitigations.
• Provide expert risk management guidance within the team and to business partners.
• Implement risk management processes and drive improvements to the company’s risk landscape.
• Provide leadership within the risk and internal control functions.
• Influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders for risk management initiatives.
• Build a strong community of risk champions across the business.
• Monitor and oversee the company’s risk profile.

Key Performance Indicators (SMART):

• Develop a strong understanding of business products, services, and organizational units to provide required support for risk and internal controls.
• Successfully execute risk management processes.
• Cultivate a risk culture within the organization.
• Engage proactively and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
• Ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or related risk management fields.
• Relevant professional qualifications in risk management, compliance, finance, or information security are advantageous.
• Good knowledge of enterprise risk management, compliance, and internal controls frameworks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of risk and regulation in the financial services and technology industry.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the financial services or technology industry.
• Previous experience implementing risk management, internal controls, or compliance frameworks.
• Experience in data analysis is advantageous.
