Job Details:
Job Purpose:
The Manager Branch Operations & Support is responsible for the efficient operation of all central bank functions. The role ensures that necessary controls are in place while delivering effective service across all bank operations.
Key Result Areas:
- Ensure branches meet targets in assets, liabilities, and value-added services.
- Supervise branch operations in collaboration with regional managers, focusing on tools of trade, staffing, internal controls, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Address audit, compliance, and regulatory findings to prevent repeat issues.
- Conduct regular training sessions for branch staff, regional managers, and head office department staff on identified gaps.
- Regularly review and recommend policy changes to the head of banking operations.
- Make branch visits to resolve outstanding issues and advise management on subsequent steps.
- Submit regular reports to the supervisor.
- Provide timely responses to staff and customer service needs at branches and head office.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Educational and Technical Competence Requirements:
- A business degree in finance, commerce, business administration, economics, statistics, management, or any relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with management-level experience.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the banking industry.
- Familiarity with operating systems, database systems, and system integration.
- Understanding of inter-bank clearing, funds transfer processes, and SWIFT systems.
- Strong exposure to banking technology solutions and understanding of banking operations.
- Proven track record in the effective implementation of projects and change management operations.
- Experience in business continuity management and the development of business recovery plans.
