Job Details:
Mildmay Hospital Uganda is seeking a competent individual to fill the position of Internal Auditor. This role involves supporting the Internal Audit function by ensuring an independent, systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and standards. The position is also responsible for providing reasonable assurance in compliance with donor requirements, internal controls, corporate governance, and ensuring that risk management systems are functioning as intended.
Description:
The position holder will support the Internal Audit function in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of organizational policies, procedures, and standards. They will provide reasonable assurance of compliance with donor requirements, internal controls, corporate governance, and the effectiveness of risk management systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in B.Com (Accounting) or BBA (Accounting), Economics, Statistics, or any other business degree with part qualification in ACCA or CPA. A CIA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 2 years of audit experience (internal or external) in a reputable organization. Experience in auditing hospitals, research centers, and NGOs is an added advantage.
- Skills: Non-judgmental approach to human relations, alignment with Mildmay Uganda’s Christian values, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Customer focus is paramount.
