Reporting to: Chief Retail Banking Officer
Job Purpose: The Head of Women in Business will lead the development and implementation of a marketing plan and business strategy to increase DFCU Bank’s market share and profitability within the sector.
Location: Kampala
Key Responsibilities:
- Accelerate mass acquisition and drive retention for the managed customer segments.
- Increase digital platform utilization among Women in Business (WiB) customers.
- Develop and implement competitive marketing plans and sales strategies to grow DFCU’s penetration of the WiB sector and drive revenue growth.
- Create strategies to sustainably mobilize and retain deposits.
- Ensure customers experience the promised value propositions and collect and utilize feedback.
- Monitor the quality of the WiB client loan portfolio and focus on the collection of watch accounts.
- Implement risk-management controls and ensure statutory compliance across the WiB portfolio.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovation and digital transformation strategy that enhances the WiB sector’s competitive position.
- Train and equip sector staff, including branch representatives, to deliver satisfactory customer experiences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline.
- MBA, related master’s, or professional banking qualification is an advantage.
- 8 years of experience in banking, with a focus on sales and service; 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in developing effective marketing plans and sales strategies leading to business growth.
- In-depth understanding of the Women in Business sector and its customer segments.
- Knowledge of various product solutions, segments, and value propositions within the bank’s customer base.
- Experience in structuring complex financial deals and negotiating and closing sales.
- Deep understanding of risk management in financial services.
- Ability to establish credible and sustainable relationships with stakeholders, including customers and partners.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and PowerPoint.
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
