Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Business & Marketing Officer, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for DFCU’s brand performance, awareness, and alignment of marketing strategies with the bank’s commercial growth objectives. The role involves leading the brand and business marketing teams, driving creative storytelling, managing the brand’s visual identity and campaigns, and ensuring strategic positioning across DFCU’s portfolio.
Key Accountabilities:
- Brand Articulation: Refine DFCU’s brand through consumer-focused insights to reinforce identity and voice.
- Brand Management: Oversee DFCU’s brand identity across all touchpoints for consistent representation.
- Creative Asset Design: Direct and approve design of all branding and creative assets.
- Collaborative Strategies: Develop go-to-market strategies with product, segment, and sector leadership.
- Marketing Calendar Management: Execute marketing calendars with transparency and cross-functional communication.
- Multi-channel Strategies: Create comprehensive marketing strategies for each segment and sector.
- Data-driven Insights: Incorporate data-driven insights for targeted outreach and optimal ROI.
- Market Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to meet KPIs.
- Customer Lifecycle Marketing: Enhance customer engagement and loyalty through lifecycle marketing.
- Marketing Innovation: Explore new channels and strategies to maintain competitive edge.
- Digital Strategy: Develop and execute digital marketing strategies focusing on customer acquisition and engagement.
- Performance Metrics: Build and manage marketing budgets, track KPIs, and achieve performance indicators.
- Agency Management: Select and manage external agencies.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams and manage key strategic talent recruitment and development.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies Required:
- Education: University Degree with Marketing qualifications; a relevant Master’s Degree and professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) is advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong business acumen with knowledge of finance, accounting, product, and financial management.
- Experience: At least 12 years of marketing experience in a relevant industry, with expertise in brand advertising, creative development, and executing large, multi-national marketing campaigns.
- Skills: Strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, excellent collaboration, digital marketing proficiency, strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership, and communication skills.
- Attributes: Integrity, judgment, customer mindset, leadership through inspiration, external credibility, and experience in developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
