Job Details:

Job Purpose: The Head of Credit will oversee the bank’s credit function, ensuring the establishment of internal controls and processes for credit assessments, restructuring, monitoring, and recovery in line with the bank’s overall strategy and objectives. The role involves driving initiatives to satisfy both internal and external customers.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited institution. A master’s degree in business, finance, or management is an added advantage.
• Experience: At least 15 years’ experience in a financial institution within the credit or related function, with a minimum of 5 years at a senior managerial level. Exposure to both corporate and retail lending is advantageous.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, business, and banking operations.
• Skills:
  • Ability to formulate and execute lending strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and empathetic listening.
  • Exposure to risk management.
  • Capability to build and sustain customer relationships.
  • Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills.
