Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, with prior experience in civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical works.
  • Experience in large onshore/offshore oil and gas construction projects.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Construction management within a multi-disciplined environment in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refining industry.
  • Good knowledge of International design codes/standards and Company general specifications.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Construction activities carried out by Company/Contractors/Sub-contractors North of the Nile with respect to HSE, Quality, Costs, and Schedule.
  • Ensure environmental protection and monitor Project environmental performances.
  • Develop and implement a construction organization using Company resources and contracted personnel to ensure smooth project development.
  • Oversee Contractors’ preparation and implementation of Construction, Engineering documents, including procedures, method statements, drawings, calculation notes, Construction Equipment, and personnel planning.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordination as required by the project.
  • Supervise preparation and delivery of quality as-built documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality and Contractor delivery, intervening as needed to ensure progress aligns with the project schedule.
  • Identify and analyze productivity weak points and propose corrective actions.
  • Forecast performance and manpower requirements based on physical progress relative to schedule.
  • Liaise with Superintendents and Supervisors to manage interfaces effectively.
  • Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible yet strict to achieve Project objectives.
  • Keep Management informed of ongoing construction status and coordinate regular meetings at Site.
  • Promote smooth communication with Contractors/Sub-contractors/Vendors and the Project Management team throughout the project phases.
  • Control works performed by Contractors and monitor their progress.
  • Manage the Company construction Supervision Team to ensure work compliance with contract specifications, informing the Construction Manager of non-compliance or deviation requests by Contractors.
  • Evaluate and manage site interferences from operations or malfunctions.
  • Manage emergency situations on construction sites, applying the entity’s emergency response plan and related procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE instructions, rules, and procedures.
  • Lead teams in HSE compliance with Company rules.
  • Contribute to meeting Project HSE objectives, considering HSE requirements during construction and installation phases.
  • Ensure safe working practices within the construction team and Contractors/Sub-contractors, enforcing Company HSEQ policy.
  • Participate in regular Safety tours and visits.
  • Compile necessary reports for the Construction Manager (RSES) South and Project Management Team.
