Job Description:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in East Africa, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bus Driver to work in Uganda. The main responsibility is to transport clients safely, comfortably, and timely, including arranging regular cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle, planning routes based on road and traffic conditions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Map out driving routes in advance for efficient trips.
- Pick up clients at the requested place and time.
- Assist clients with loading and unloading luggage.
- Stay informed on road conditions through traffic and weather reports.
- Adjust routes to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions as needed.
- Answer clients’ questions about the area and local attractions.
- Maintain clean and comfortable car seats for all riders.
- Schedule regular vehicle service appointments and report any issues.
- Book car wash and detailing services to maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness.
Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum of five years proven experience as a professional driver with at least three years of bus driving experience.
- Valid driver’s license (DE class is mandatory).
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50).
- Familiarity with GPS devices.
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
- Availability for occasional weekend and night shifts.
- Polite and professional disposition.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., rush hour).
- Ability to write.
