Job Title: Branch Manager – Fort Portal

Division: Retail

Reports to: Regional Head

Job Objective: To deliver exceptional branch performance through excellent customer service, sales, and transactional processing by establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships and monitoring the progress of new and existing products, while providing operational management support on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase customer retention and growth through aggressive cross-selling of bank financial products, promoting revenue growth.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to develop and implement branch business strategies and plans, identifying business opportunities and financial products to achieve targeted growth objectives.
  • Build effective relationships with new and existing customers by establishing customer needs and ensuring timely service delivery according to prescribed SLAs.
  • Develop and motivate a high-performance team through coaching and mentoring, providing technical support and leadership to surpass targets.
  • Recommend product development based on customer feedback and contribute to successful product launches to drive revenue through sales campaigns.
  • Review and evaluate new and renewal lending proposals, negotiate terms with customers, and submit proposals to the credit department for approval.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s and regulatory authorities’ policies and guidelines within the branch.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Increase in customer growth and retention.
  • Effectiveness of branch strategies in generating business.
  • Increase in revenue build-up/Budget – Financial KPI (Number and Value).
  • Branch profitability.
  • Percentage of annual target achievement.
  • Effective and timely customer service delivery.

  • Percentage of complete and accurate account documentation.

  • 100% staff compliance to bank/regulatory authorities’ policies and guidelines.

Job Requirements: Education:

  • University degree from a reputable institution.
  • A financial qualification or associate such as CIB, IOS, CFA, ACCA, etc., and an MBA are added advantages.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in retail/private banking.

  • Proven track record of achieving positive results in profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of banking/financial products, services, and policy regulations.
  • Detailed understanding of retail business processes, operating procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Knowledge of KYC, money laundering legislation, and service standards.
  • Understanding of retail business plans, operating structures, and key interfaces.
  • Excellent understanding of outlet performance objectives, gross sales, cost management, risk, and income contribution.
