Job Details:

Job Purpose: The Assistant Lecturer and Tutor will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and providing academic support to students. The role involves preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and engaging in research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Provide academic advising and support to students, including mentorship and career guidance.
• Engage in research activities and contribute to the academic community through publications and presentations.
• Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
• Collaborate with colleagues on academic projects and departmental activities.
• Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and committees.
• Stay current with developments in the field of study and integrate new knowledge into teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Master’s degree or higher in the relevant field of study.
• Experience: Prior teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development.
  • Research experience and publications are an advantage.

Work Hours: 8

Level of Education: Master’s Degree or higher
