The Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) is a non-profit biomedical research organization committed to mitigating disease threats through quality research, healthcare, and disease surveillance. Established in 2002 through a collaboration between The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) and Makerere University (Mak), MUWRP has been at the forefront of medical research, initially focusing on HIV vaccines. Over time, MUWRP’s scope has expanded to include research on Ebola and Marburg viruses, Emerging Infectious Diseases Program (EIDP) for influenza surveillance, and a PEPFAR-funded program for HIV treatment, care, and prevention across multiple districts.

MUWRP is seeking to fill the position of Program Midwives to support their healthcare initiatives.
