Job Details:

Context and Environment:
- Completion of Shareholders Agreement by year-end 2021.
- Transition from TEAM BV to EACOP Ltd at SHA completion.
- Implementation of a new dedicated ERP for EACOP Ltd (Finance and HR).
Missions / Job Dimensions:
- Based in Kampala.
- 500 invoices and expense claims monthly, managing bank accounts in four currencies (UGX, TZS, USD, GBP) across five banks.
- EACOP Ltd, a UK company, with branches in Uganda and Tanzania, and shareholders including TotalEnergies, UNOC, and TPDC, is tasked with building and operating a 1442 km oil pipeline from Hoima (UG) to Tanga (TZ).
- Handle day-to-day Treasury functions: Financial Debt, Bank accounts, Forex management (including treasury forecast, payments), and preparing cash calls sent to Shareholders/Lenders.
Key Activities:
- Verify daily bank balances against the Cash Analysis Excel file.
- Plan and prepare payment proposals in ERP with respective bank accounts.
- Schedule interbank transfers and negotiate FX deals.
- Interface with UK head office for equity and external debt financing.
- Ensure timely settlement of payments.
- Update the Cash Analysis Excel file for every booked payment.
- Stamp and file paid invoices.
- Prevent daily negative balances on local and foreign bank accounts.
- Perform mid-month bank reconciliations.
- Resolve any account or payment issues with banks promptly.
- Prepare monthly Treasury forecasts and reconcile with actual end-of-month balances.
- Prepare cash calls for Shareholders and Lenders.
- Assist the Chief Accountant during external audits (statutory, financial, fiscal, shareholders, national authorities).
- Participate in the implementation of EACOP’s new ERP.
Accountabilities:
- Timely payment of vendor invoices and expense claims.
- Efficient cash management.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance or ACCA Level 2.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in Treasury and Accounting, ideally in Oil & Gas or the Banking sector, with international exposure.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Competencies:
- Strong technical skills in treasury, accounting, and ERP systems.
- Analytical mind, process-oriented, attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team spirit; ability to manage pressure and deadlines.
- Excellent English proficiency (spoken and written).
