Job Details: NIC General, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NIC Holdings Limited, is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Senior IT Officer – IT Infrastructure. NIC General was incorporated on March 3, 2014, following the legal requirement for the separation of insurance businesses under the Insurance (Amendment) Act.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Server administration and preventive/proactive maintenance.
- Manage bulk SMS services.
- Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure assets.
- Perform end-user data backup and management, ensuring security measures are in place, and update antivirus software regularly.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Manage the telephone PABX system.
- Oversee the employee clock-in system.
- Provide help desk support for AIMS and company email.
- Assist personnel from other departments as an IT resource.
- Recommend infrastructure provisioning solutions or improvements through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Perform other professional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- At least three (3) years of proven work experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and office software.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of IT security principles and practices.
