Job Details:

Role:
To monitor, respond to, and proactively manage security operations within the Security Operations Center (SOC) in line with the Bank’s IT Security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate, document, and report on information security incidents using data from firewalls, WAF, IPS, and other sources.
• Review alerts, threat intelligence, and security data from security tools based on traffic patterns to mitigate further risks from incidents.
• Identify, scan, and analyze vulnerabilities on the bank network using the SIEM and real-time scans to ensure network safety.
• Investigate suspicious activities, contain, and prevent security threats.
• Monitor log streaming continuity and perform triage of incoming issues using the ticket-tracking system.
• Implement and manage SOC monitoring and analysis tools.
• Check systems for vulnerabilities or attacks, ensuring they conform to bank standards as stipulated by the IT Service Delivery Policy.
• Provide support to other business units bank-wide.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field.

Required Experience and Competencies:

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, Security+, or CSA.
• At least 2 years of experience in information security monitoring and vulnerability management within a large organization.
• 2 years of experience in the IT security field.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of networking, system administration, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, Linux/UNIX/Windows administration).
• Skills in log analysis, forensic investigation, and problem-solving to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with other stakeholders.
• Commitment to ongoing education, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends.
• Curiosity, passion for cybersecurity, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure.
