Job Details:
OutResources HR Consulting is seeking an experienced Sales Executive for an urgent and exciting role based in Kampala with a global shipping and logistics firm. The successful candidate will manage business development, sales, and customer services within the Uganda market. The role includes promoting company products and services and representing the company in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales cycle in line with corporate procedures.
- Prospect and profile target customers.
- Develop and execute sales plans.
- Negotiate pricing and services.
- Convert business from prospects.
- Provide customer service support and account development.
- Analyze market potential and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Prospect for new business to grow market share and income.
- Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
- Keep abreast of market influences and conduct market intelligence to ensure competitiveness.
- Maintain high levels of market intelligence to support the group’s competitiveness.
- Ensure exceptional client service to promote retention.
- Prepare sales letters, presentations, and quotations for customers.
- Maintain reports on new customers and daily status updates for senior management.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of business development experience in shipping, shipping line, logistics, or C&F.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Proven track record of success in business development.
- Strong network within the shipping and logistics industry.
- Open to Ugandan nationals; Kenyan and East African nationals with relevant experience will also be considered.
