Job Description:
The Precast Plant Operator will operate the blender/mixer and paver/block making machine for slag cement (and other types), load and dispatch cement, pavers, blocks, and kerb stones. The role involves promoting the company maintenance process, ensuring the application of maintenance procedures, methods, and best practices. The operator will ensure the completion of maintenance jobs with the highest level of quality, safety, and effectiveness to maximize equipment availability. Additionally, the operator will assist the coordinator in implementing action plans to improve safety, plant operations, equipment reliability, and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the blender to produce blended cement as per set targets and truck loading.
• Operate the precast machine to produce pavers and blocks of different sizes.
• Organize and mobilize materials, tools, and spare requirements aimed at enhancing productivity.
• Provide technical insight and guidance to team members on work methodology as deemed necessary.
• Respond to emergency breakdown repair needs.
• Update maintenance records on repairs, overhauls, and modifications on mechanical units.
• Monitor material stock balance and follow up with the logistics team to ensure sufficient stock balance for both slag and OPC cement, lake sand, and stone dust.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

Technical Competencies:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electromotive, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering with 3 years’ work experience in the cement process industry.
• Good knowledge in maintenance and operation of automated paver/block making machine.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience on water treatment plants.
• ERA permit class D and above will be an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
• Computer knowledge.
