About AMPLIFY Girls: AMPLIFY Girls is a network of 40 community-driven organizations (CDOs) in Africa dedicated to building agency in adolescent girls. They aim to ensure that every girl has agency and opportunity, while community-driven organizations receive the resources and respect they deserve. Their mission involves supporting organizational growth through collaboration and learning, advocating for CDOs in global decision-making spaces, and conducting research to understand, measure, and enhance girls’ agency.

Job Summary: The Partner Resource Director will utilize their development expertise to support network partners by fostering fundraising and networking opportunities. This role involves mentoring and coaching organizations to improve their resource mobilization strategies. The Director will connect network partners with prospects and advise on sustainable fundraising tactics, without directly soliciting funds. The role is remote, with candidates based in North America, Europe, or Africa, and reports to the AMPLIFY Girls Co-CEO in North America.

Responsibilities:

Cultivating Development Opportunities for Partners:

• Conduct desk research to identify funding opportunities and networks for AG partner organizations.
• Develop and manage a database of relevant contacts, calls for proposals, awards, and funding avenues.
• Act as a project manager for joint funding opportunities and multi-organizational grants.
• Oversee timelines, deliverables, and advise on strategy for joint funding applications.
• Serve as the main contact for partner-supporting prospects and cultivate these relationships.
• Support AG partners with conference prep and networking for fundraising and prospecting.

Partner Advising, Training, and Mentorship:

• Mentor partners to understand their fundraising needs and strategies.
• Lead periodic training and workshops to enhance partners’ fundraising skills.
• Work with the Director of Partner Learning and Network Director to maintain active relationships and assess resource mobilization needs.
• Collaborate with the Director of Research and Evidence to track partner growth and engagement in fundraising-related training.

External Relations:

• Represent AG and advocate for partner organizations at conferences and events.
• Undertake special projects as requested, such as supporting co-funding collaborations and contributing to strategic planning.

Qualifications:

• Strong fundraising and networking skills.
• Experience in development and philanthropic sectors.
• Ability to mentor and coach organizations in resource mobilization.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in developing and managing databases.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
