About This Role: The Project Manager II will provide overall leadership and management of an Integrated Early Childhood Education (ECE), child protection, and livelihood project in Parolinya Refugee settlement. The manager will ensure project deliverables meet quality standards within budget and timelines, supervising staff, and coordinating with partners, local government, and national government.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
  • Lead planning and implementation of ECE project activities, ensuring quality deliverables and targets are met.
  • Manage the project budget and monitor resource utilization according to ChildFund International standards.
  • Continuous monitoring of project activities to ensure quality implementation and data documentation for knowledge management.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for successful project implementation, including participation in key working groups at subnational and national levels.
  • Ensure timely submission of quality project progress reports and maintain adequate project documentation.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to project staff to ensure service delivery and growth.
  • Undertake other duties delegated by the supervisor.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in an international NGO, leading early childhood development programs in emergency or development contexts.
  • Experience managing donor-funded projects, particularly in humanitarian contexts.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, supervision of staff, and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience promoting children’s rights and knowledge of ECD policy and implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Care and Development, or related field; additional qualification in ECD preferred.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related field is an added advantage.
