Job Details:
Job Summary:
The Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing the bank’s corporate network and infrastructure, focusing on ensuring operational performance, capacity, security, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and monitor network and server performance; provide performance statistics and reports to ensure proper maintenance of network/server infrastructure.
- Monitor bandwidth usage, analyze traffic patterns and volumes, determine impacts and implications of issues, and make recommendations.
- Develop and plan/schedule maintenance activities; communicate standards for network use and security.
- Specify new IT equipment for Technical Services and maintain a proper inventory of all network and infrastructure assets of the bank.
- Ensure comprehensive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans are in place, regularly tested, and updated.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, network operating system issues, and other LAN/WAN-related malfunctions.
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
- Resolve problems reported by end users.
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
- Perform diagnostics on network issues.
- Conduct day-to-day operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, management, performance monitoring, incident and problem management, security, and backup and recovery across the network infrastructure.
- Execute End of Day, End of Month, and End of Year operations.
- Provide support for hardware and software issues.
- Handle general systems administration tasks, including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, and urgent system patching.
Education:
- Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of IT Networks, IT Security, and Operating Systems (Windows and Linux).
- CCNA certified.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive, passionate, and results-oriented.
- Eager to research and develop self.
