About the Role:
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and implement our cloud-based infrastructure and data workflows. This role involves a mix of cloud systems engineering, data management, and security oversight, focusing on robust and scalable cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud technologies, have a strong foundation in cloud-based data systems, and possess hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Manage the AWS account, including setting up and configuring IAM roles and permissions.
  • Architect and implement cloud solutions using various AWS services such as IoT Core, S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, RDS, and QuickSight.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices for data management.
  • Design and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities. Regularly test and verify backups.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
  • Develop scripts, automation tools, and configuration management solutions to streamline server provisioning, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing and AWS services.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in managing AWS environments and cloud architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, particularly related to data management and processing.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance measures in AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience in cloud cost management and optimization.
  • Background in data engineering and familiarity with big data technologies.
